Home methods to get rid of Pimples
04.22.06 (10:51 pm)   [edit]

There can be so many ways and creams that you might have already seen and used. But most of them are not 100% safe and effective. Many creams that claim to finish pimples within weeks would have side effects, or some of the methods told by your friends or elders just don't seem to work in your case. So what to do?

We provide you some of the most basic and simple steps that would help you to get rid of pimples from within.
  • Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day. Drinking water hydrates your skin and helps your skin to reatin its health and the same time cleans the pores through sweat. This proves a great deal in avoiding more pimples.
  • Avoid touching your face, as this just spreads bacteria. The pimple or acne in your face is also caused due to unhygenic habits. Your pimples are the breeding grounds of many bacteria. The bacteria can be transferred to other parts of your body through your fingers. You would only help bacteria and pimples to grow more.
  • Wash your face with warm water twice a day. Washing prevents the harmful bacteria from growing further in your skin. If you use good cleansers and use face-wash you would are more likely to open your skin pores and remove the dirt clooged in it. Proper cleaning also prevents the harmful bacteria from your skin thus, causing pimples to vanish!
  • If you want to get rid of your pimples faster then you can try out putting ice on them for 30-60 seconds. Repeat the same procedure every 30 minutes. And then apply alcohol by gently rubbing it with a peice of cotton in your face.
  • If you noticed that new pimples have just started to appear in your skin you should try egg white. When you see the first sign of pimple just try applying egg white in your face, particlulary in the affected area. Wash your face as you normally would and use cotton swab to apply. See how pimples vanish!

Butt Acne Treatment
04.22.06 (10:33 pm)   [edit]

Butt acne is as general a problem in teenagers and adults as is normal acne on the face or on the thighs. However it is a sensitive issue, not because it is a bit more painful than other kinds of acne, but because of where it is located. One tends to believe that butt acne is an embarrassment, making this general issue a sensitive one.

The reason for butt acne can be attributed to the same reasons of acne on anywhere else on the body (of course the only issue is no one knows why acne occurs). We spend a major time of our day sitting and researches also show that our butt remains under pressure for almost 50% of our lifetime. This means that sweat, pressure, and dirt get accumulated on the butt, adding fire to acne development.

Butt acne seems to come and go just like that. Sometimes an existing acne breakout can become worse. Though it starts off as small red spots, these spots develop releasing waste fluids.

Dermatologists believe that without proper examination it wouldn’t be possible to treat butt acne. So it would be up to those suffering from butt acne to come out of their embarrassment shell to go to take help.

There are few tips to avoid butt acne:
  • Keep your clothes clean, particularly those around your buttocks.
  • Try wearing cottons rather than artificial clothing that contains nylon or polyester.
  • Take bath twice a day
  • Consume more amounts of water, that what you do normally.
  • Avoid oils, and coffee.

Butt acne is definitely not a big problem as long as you exercise good common sense.

Pimple in Inner Thighs
04.20.06 (2:30 am)   [edit]

Most of the times pimples in inner thighs occur in obese people. If not then in people who wear body hugging clothes.

The very root why pimples are caused is storage and increase of bacteria in skin pores. Tight dresses, or rubbing of thighs in an obese person causes the bacteria to be collected in the skin pores. This not only speeds the growth of the bacteria, and thus pimples, but also causes this to spread all over the area.

However this can reduced. People wearing skin-hugging dresses will have to wear loose dresses, which is a quick and easy change. But obese people will need to decrease their weight, not only to reduce pimples, but also for their health reasons. Ofcourse this is a long process.

Then what’s the solution? Keep the skin in the thigh areas clean. Take a bath twice if possible. But don’t overwash your self.
  • Stop rubbing or scratching or popping up the pimples. It may cause the bacteria to spread.
  • Avoid too much consumption of chocolate, coffee, alcohol or oils. Be patient with it while keeping it clean. If you do not find any betterment in the situation, visit it the doctor.

Anti Aging Skincare
04.19.06 (2:56 am)   [edit]

Anti-aging skin is major issue in many societies around the world. Now, we are becoming more and more obsessed with wrinkles, aging, and beauty in general. The pressure is to not just look young but vital as well. The key ingredients for healthy, younger looks are balance of mind, spirit and body. This can turn into a positive life change for everyone.

To keep your skin looking gorgeous, wrinkle free, young and smooth on the outside, you must work on the inside of your body as well. There has been much research done about. The following a few tips for maintaining a younger skin.

  • Drink at least eight glasses of water everyday as it helps ward off disease and enhance the health and glow of your skin.
  • Working out on specific areas to firm and shape the muscle underneath the fat. This way, you get a firmer body
  • Writing down your problem areas helps to sort things out in your mind. Your subconscious will work on the problems like food habits and a lot of the problems won’t seem quite so bad.
  • It’s easy to gulp down a super sized fast food meal for lunch every day, but your body will get over stressed with it. Eat fruit salad with low-fat yogurt and your burger with lean chicken or fish and a salad.
  • Make a point to moisturize your face every morning. The moisturizer guards against the dry weather that is more likely to develop premature wrinkles. Choose a face lotion containing SPF 15 or higher.
  • Unfortunately, the thinner you are, the faster your face will age. Instead of dieting, turn your thoughts to healthy eating.
  • Exercise doesn’t just help you lose weight. It also helps your body fight the natural aging process.
  • Do not compromise on your sleep. Decide on a reasonable time to get to sleep each night and stick with it.

Acne pregnancy
04.18.06 (12:36 am)   [edit]

Pregnant women experience acne breakouts at any time during pregnancy. This is what I came to know during my pregnancy. But I didn’t know that it would continue even after my baby girl was born. The most distressing thing that I had to face was arm acne. I knew that acne is not contagious, however keeping my arms clean while taking my little one into my hands did make me feel better. My skin returned to normal after two or three months after the delivery, as if nothing had happened.

I had problems with acne before, but during the fifth month it suddenly broke loose on my skin, especially on face and arms.

This is what I did to protect the baby and myself: I exercised daily under my doctor’s supervision, to stimulate circulation to all parts of the body including the skin.

I ate lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, which were cooked after thoroughly washing them. Both exercise and a balance diet not only helped me stay fit during pregnancy, I happen to control the growth of the pimples. Though the pimples were there, I felt a hint of winning.

Then again during the eighth month, acne started growing on my arms.

I kept my skin clean and oil free taking a bath twice a day, or if I felt too cold I use a wet cloth to wipe myself.

I didn’t use acidic soaps or cleaners, because I didn’t know how my skin would react. And it was not the right time to experiment.

I thought of trying medicines because I was getting annoyed. But I was told that most of the medicines use Retinoids, which are dangerous for the unborn child. So I simply evaded the idea, though sometimes I felt embarrassed when people visited. In the end, when all went well and the acne vanished, the doctors told me that they just come and go. But somehow I believe that they vanished without leaving scars, because of the care I took.

Acne Involving Hair Follicle
04.01.06 (5:41 am)   [edit]
How acne infections develop in hair follicles?

Acne is a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit, which consists of a hair follicle, sebaceous gland and a hair. These units are everywhere on the body except palms, soles, top of feet and lower lip. But, pilosebaceous units are more on the face, upper neck and chest. These sebaceous glands or units produce a substance called sebum, which is responsible for keeping the skin and hair moisturized. Sebum production increases during adolescence because of influence of hormones.

Sebum combines with cells being sloughed off within hair follicle and fills up the hair follicle. When the follicle gets filled, the sebum spreads over the skin surface. When this process works correctly, the skin is moisturized and remains healthy.

Problems arise only when the sebum is trapped in hair follicle. A certain bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes multiplies in this trapped sebum causing a tiny infection. This causes inflammatory acne, or red bumps and pustules. In some follicles the bacteria will not cause an infection. But it changes the lining of hair follicle and forms plugs called comedones.

The only key to skin care for acne is consistent care. Following good skin care aids in the daily and steady improvement of follicle health. The best skin care for comedones is once-a-day cleansing with a mild soap or facial scrub. It aids in the removal of excess sebum and dead skin cells. Its better to avoid oil-based makeup since these can contribute to trapping of oil in the follicles. The safe way is to use water-based makeup.
