| Advice for Pimples on Forehead |

How to make pimples on your forehead vanish?
Sometimes you may get pimples on both temples and forehead, which may produce pus. When it is at its worst your forehead looks reddish with several large infections. So check some of the easy to follow advise for pimples on forehead. It is an annoying but actually rather common problem of post-adolescent acne.
There's usually no particular reason why acne form on forehead. Local factors like sports equipment and sweaty headbands occasionally are a factor, but most of the time they're not. Food is very unlikely to be related. Hair gel makes pimples worse. And, also hair products. If you have oily hair and bangs, the oil from your bangs could be causing it.
Advice for Pimples on Forehead.
- Topical and oral treatments are available and effective. Treatment consists of removal with an acne implement or light cautery with an electrical device.
- Pinching them can cause inflammation. It is ineffective as a treatment, and should be avoided.
- Effective acne prevention requires using the right treatments, and adjusting product use and hygiene habits.
- Oily hair can aggravate acne. So stay away from oily products like pomades or hair spray to get rid of pimples on your forehead.
- If your hair is long, wear it pulled back or consider a shorter style that keeps it off your face, neck and shoulders. Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep so that pimples don't develop overnight.
- Avoid using moisturizers on acne-prone areas to get rid of pimples you have there or practice good acne prevention. If you do use a moisturizer, make sure it is not acnegenic.
- Wash the skin gently with a mild soap or cleanser and warm water once or twice daily. Hot water and harsh cleansers can further irritate your skin and undermine your acne prevention efforts.
- Baking soda on a wet cloth works very well for you. Use gently. It can also be used with lotion. Follow with a good moisturizer.

| Yasmin Helps Cure Acne |
| 03.29.06 (2:14 am) [edit] |

How suitable is Yasmin for adult acne?
Yasmin for adult acne is a new form of oral contraceptive that people commonly call “the pill”. It is a low-dose, monophasic oral contraceptive birth control pill, which contains estrogen and drospirenone. Drospirenone is a synthetic progestin that differs from other progestins by having antimineralocorticoid properties that influence the regulation of water retention and electrolyte balance in the body, as well as having anti androgenic properties. Also refer to following acne skin care products.
Yasmin for adult acne contains ethinylestradiol. The effect of ethinylestradiol on skin has been evaluated in women with mild to moderate facial acne. A positive effect on acne and seborrhea was observed, with the median acne lesion count decreasing by 62.5% from baseline to cycle 9, whilst seborrhea decreased by 25.1%.
One pill of yasmin contains a progestin very similar to that produced by the ovaries. Yasmin for adult acne has an excellent anti-male hormone effect on skin. This pill has anti-male hormone activity and reduces oil production.
Yasmin for adult acne has been proved to effectively clear acne in women by suppressing the overactive sebaceous glands. It can be used as long-term acne therapy. Estrogens in it decrease sebum production by lowering levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) and increasing the sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). This in turn lowers testosterone, thus reducing the drive of the oil glands that are responsible for acne to produce excess oil. For treating acne, progesterones in it produce little or no androgens.

| What Causes Severe Acne? |
| 03.28.06 (8:24 pm) [edit] |
|
The exact cause of acne is unknown, but doctors believe it results from several related factors. Acne is a disorder that causes outbreaks of skin lesions commonly called pimples. It is the most common skin disease. Although acne is not a serious health threat, severe acne can lead to disfiguring and permanent scarring.
The following are the common causes for severe acne:
Hormonal Changes
One important factor in the cause of severe acne is an increase in hormones called androgens (male sex hormones). Androgens enlarge the sebaceous glands in the skin. Second, they cause these glands to increase sebum (oil) production. The increase in androgens in both boys and girls during puberty cause the sebaceous glands to enlarge and make more sebum. This hormonal surge also contributes to the development of acne in teens. Hormonal changes related to pregnancy or starting or stopping birth control pills can also cause acne.
Estrogens, which are the female hormones, actually can help to improve acne in girls. A woman's monthly menstrual cycle is due to changes in the estrogen levels in her body. This is why acne in a female may get better and then get worse as she goes through her monthly cycle. To control severe acne a doctor may recommend treatment with birth control pills, which contain the helpful Estrogens.
Hereditary Factors
Another factor of severe acne is heredity or genetics. Researchers believe that the tendency to develop acne can be inherited from parents. Studies have also shown that many school-age boys with acne have a family history of the disorder. Certain drugs, including androgens and lithium, are also known to cause severe acne.
Sebum Flow in Hair Follicles
Hair follicles which exist on virtually all skin except for the palms of the hands and soles of the feet are a major factor for causing severe acne. Inside the follicle, the hair extends up from the deep layers of the skin and comes out of a pore. Near the surface, the oil gland (sebaceous gland) enters the hair follicle where it empties oil (sebum) at a relatively constant rate. The sebum lubricates the skin and provides a protective barrier to prevent drying. The increased production of sebum causes blockage of hair follicles, leading to the formation of small bacteria-filled cysts called comedones. If these comedones remain intact and do not rupture, they can progress into open comedones (whiteheads) or closed comedones (blackheads). When comedones rupture, an inflammatory reaction occurs and can spread into the surrounding skin on the face, chest, and back has an especially large number of sebaceous glands. These are the areas where acne occurs and forms plugs. These plugs serve as more "food" for the bacteria.
Bacteria
Bacteria that normally live on the skin also play a role in acne development. The bacterium known as Propionibacterium is responsible for causing severe acne. These bacteria produce substances that cause redness and irritation (inflammation). They also make enzymes, which dissolve the sebum (oil from oil glands in the skin) into irritating substances. These substances also make the inflammation worse.
Other Factors for the Cause of Severe Acne:
Oil from skin products (moisturizers or cosmetics) or grease encountered in the work environment (for example, a kitchen with fry vats.
Pressure from sports helmets or equipment, backpacks, tight collars, or tight sports uniforms.
Environmental irritants, such as pollution and high humidity.
Squeezing or picking at blemishes.
Hard scrubbing of the skin.

| Zits on Vagina – Causes and Cures |
| 03.24.06 (3:08 am) [edit] |
|
What are the causes for formation of zits vagina and how to cure them?
Zits on vagina are nothing but pimples formed because of different reasons. Pimples in the vaginal area are called sebaceous cysts. Pimples are considered a normal part of puberty. Nearly eight out of ten teens will have some form of breakouts. Zits vagina will be mostly because of some hormonal defects.
It follows the same kind of course as a facial sebaceous cyst. Mostly they form because of the abundance of bacteria in the area. Zits are generally a cluster of small fluid-filled blisters that break, forming painful sores that crust. They heal over the course of several days. But some people get only rash or small bumps on the skin that appears to be pimples. Some have painful urination and some women have fluid discharge from the vagina.
Symptoms come and go with varying frequency and duration. One person may have an outbreak once a year, while another may have one every few weeks. Before flare-up of zits vagina, there is often an itching, tingling, or burning sensation in the affected area, and sharp pains in the pelvis or down the leg.
The pimples may be caused by irritation around the area. Often they are caused by wearing clothing that is too tight or underwear made of synthetic material. If this is the case, try to keep the area dry. You can find ease while using non greasy Acne lotion and consider wearing cotton underwear. Or at least wear underwear with a cotton crotch, as well as looser fitting clothing.
If you are sexually active, I would suggest abstaining from sex or using a condom until a doctor has diagnosed the problem. The better way to be really sure is to get a STD test or get your partner tested to avoid worries.
Compress vaginal zits using hot or moist disinfectants or water, which can bring the pus out of the surface. It will eventually drain on its own or with minimal pressure. Once it has drained, use an antibiotic ointment on it a couple of times a day. You can get these over-the-counter very inexpensively. You can use generic brands of triple antibiotic ointment.
Don't pick, pop, or squeeze your skin. In addition to causing scarring, this can spread the oil and cause additional pimples. Use an over-the-counter lotion containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to help prevent and clear up zits vagina.

| Cystic Acne |
| 03.21.06 (3:07 am) [edit] |
|
How to cure cystic acne?
Cystic acne, whether in chronic or intermittent form, is one of the most frustrating types of acne lesions. Cystic acne breakouts are painful. The extent of damage they can cause often goes beyond the reach of topically applied products. Cystic acne is typically triggered by a surge in hormones. The skin's oil glands become hypersensitive to this cascade of hormones and react by overproducing sebum. This makes the oil gland become engorged, swollen, and hardened. Unable to push the extra oil into the lining of the hair follicle, the gland bursts underneath the skin. This causes acute inflammation and irritation leading to the redness and soreness of cystic acne. As these lesions start deep in the skin it leads causes scarring.
Better treatment option for cystic acne is oral hormone therapy. Drugs known as anti-androgens can block the effects of androgenic hormones. But, these prescription drugs are not without side effects. So they are generally prescribed in low dosages.
One can also use hypertension-taming drug spironolactone, which has anti-androgen effects. However, the trade-off of long-term use may not be worth the relief from intermittent cystic acne. Conversely, one could also consider estrogen therapy if tests determine that there is an imbalance in levels of testosterone and estrogen.
Along with the above keep the following in mind
Keep your skin-care routine as simple as possible.
Avoid the use of overly heavy, thick moisturizers in the areas where cystic acne occurs.
The cleanser you're using is a fine option.
Make sure you are using an effective sunscreen during the day.
Don’t use standard topical anti-blemish treatments, if cystic acne is exclusively what you're dealing with.
Regular exfoliation with a salicylic acid (BHA)–based product will keep debris from building up in the hair follicle lining.

| Monophasic Oral Contraceptives For Acne |
| 03.20.06 (4:43 am) [edit] |
|
A research conducted at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Sao Paulo University in Brazil throws light over the issues related to acne control through monophasic drugs. Acne vulgaris was also one of the studies that were conducted during this operation. Before the initiating the study of this drug small groups of people were assessed for blood pressures and the body weight were measured. This was important to make sure that these people were not vulnerable and free from any severe illness.
After treating a small group of people with these medicines it was found that these people experienced improvements. It was also noticed that the treatments with these medicines or chemicals did not had any side affects on the health of the groups. It was also found that all the cases with pre existing acne improved in both the groups, whereas blood pressure and body weight remained almost unchanged. So this study proved that when monophasic drugs are taken for acne control it helps in fighting back acne without showing any signs of negative affects.
So the it can be concluded by looking into these facts that monophasic oral contraceptive for acne are a safe, and can successfully control the acne problem up to a desirable amount. Now monophasic oral contraceptives for acne treatment can also be added as an extra constituent in other effective and safe drugs to boost the acne treatment procedure.
